Is it X-Factor or the ‘ IT ‘ Factor ???

I think it should really be called the IT Factor.  If you watch any talent show you will see why.  Once again, I tuned into the last half of The X Factor. Marcus, Drew were in the bottom two.  Honestly, I have been a huge Drew fan and thought she would be in the top two.  Drew being super talented, and certainly an artist delivered her SAVE me song, it was weak ??? Was it memorable ? NO.  Marcus on the other hand, has been in the bottom 3 several times.  For me, he is a performer but did not appear to be an artist with depth.  For Marcus’s SAVE me song, he not only delivered, but jumped leaps and bounds.  Marcus clearly chose this song.  The authenticity, realness, gave me chills and goose bumps.  There was no sign of him performing, he was sharing with the audience just who he really is.  Maybe the judges, mentors should let the talent be themselves instead of these grand productions, which are over produced.  Hat’s off to Marcus, he has the most important element and that is The IT FACTOR.

I meet artists all the time.  There are tons of talented people out there.  Bring chills to your audience and that is what will separate you from the talented population.  Leading into my next blog:  What do you do if you have that IT Factor in todays entertainment world ???

We all can’t be on national TV that promotes our talent.  We don’t have many labels standing by artists.  We need to take promotion into our own hands.  It works !  I don’t know if I believe in destiny, however, I believe in creating one’s own destiny !!!!!  CG
